ADB's Investment for Building Urban Resilience in Pacific to Hit $900 Million

ADB?and cofinancing partners’ investment to make Pacific towns and cities more livable through improved essential services is poised to reach $900 million by the end of 2022, according to a new report.

GDP forecasts are based on ADB's flagship publication, the Asian Development Outlook. Updated four times a year, it analyzes economic and development issues in developing countries in Asia and the Pacific.


Projects Cofinanced

Cofinancing operations enable ADB’s financing partners, governments or their agencies, multilateral financing institutions, and commercial organizations to participate in financing ADB projects. Additional funds are provided in the form of official loans and grants, technical assistance, other concessional financing, and commercial cofinancing such as B loans, risk transfer arrangements, parallel loans and equity, guarantee cofinancing, and cofinancing for transactions under ADB’s Trade Finance Program.

About Us

The Pacific Subregional Office (SPSO) is located in Suva, Fiji and performs a full range of resident mission functions:

  • government, civil society, and private sector relations
  • policy dialogue
  • country reporting
  • aid coordination
  • external relations and information dissemination

As ADB's regional representative in the Pacific, SPSO undertakes strategic planning, country programming, and economic sector work, overall portfolio management and project administration of selected projects, support for the development of knowledge products, and capacity building and regional cooperation activities. The office has close access and relations with the Pacific developing member countries it serves:
